The performance EDEN by Mala Kline confronts two worlds that always coexist simultaneously when a performer and an audience meet. The here and now of a theatre encounter clashes with a sphere of images that populate spaces inside, outside and among the bodies, whilst at the same time, with the figure of a clown, Kline, in a playful and humorous way, juxtaposes contrasts and stages paradoxes of the spaces in-between. EDEN is not a blissful state of rest but a place of healing with a razor blade. The work was produced in collaboration with the Croatian avant-rock band East Rodeo and sound artists from Sonolab studio.
