Society “on hold”

In a sensorial duet (part one of a diptych), the authors Maja Kalafatić (Slovenia) and Maria de Dueñas López (Spain) explore transitional space as a metaphoric point of in-betweenness where a person’s previous condition ends and a new one begins. In the form of a dialogue, they develop connections and a duality that constitutes the totality. The intersection of individual movements by two bodies becomes a place for the layering of meanings and perceptions.  The duet is a subtle research into the physical emerging from within a transitional, temporary space that constantly changes. The issue of a ‘relaunch’ and a ‘deconstruction’ addresses the potentiality of the space-in-between as a void filled with only our imagination – where personal experience combines both the outer and inner reality – in a society which puts us “on hold”.
