Pia Krämer has managed and led organisations and projects in the performing arts for more than 35 years. As artistic director of the Studio Theatre Loft in Regensburg, Germany she was responsible for the academy and venue programme. In Portugal she has led the community project in O Espaco do Tempo, one of Europe biggest residency and production houses with about 70 residencies a year. Later she was programme director of the international and national residency programme, project manager of international collaboration and cooperation projects as well as the director of the academy for movement analysis. She was also the coordinator of the Portuguese Platform of Performing Arts. She has been the Portuguese partner of Aerowaves Platform for Contemporary Dance and board member of the European Dancehouse Network from 2014-2017. From 2019 -2021 she was part of the programming team of Dancehouse Helsinki and from 2020 – 2021, EDN network general manager at interims. She was a Board Member of the Perform Europe Consortium in 2021. For the German Dance Congress 2022, she worked as a curator and counselor. From 2020-2021 she collaborated in the documentary film “Grenzgänger” for Accentus Music GmbH and ARTE TV. The film portrays 3 choreographers. In 2022 she developed a pilot project for a professional transition scheme for performing artists in Portugal.
She holds a Master in Sciences of Sports, Pedagogy and Dance Movement Analysis.
